THE FIT
GUIDE
Intimate apparel is the most personal garment a woman owns. It should fit not just the body, but the spirit. This guide exists to ensure every Maison Majorelle piece becomes a second skin — perfectly calibrated to you.
Fit Recommendations
Each silhouette has its own language. Understanding how a garment is meant to sit on the body is the first step to wearing it with authority.
Unstructured Softness
The Bralette
Designed for the woman who values comfort without sacrificing elegance. The bralette sits best when the band lies flat against the ribcage with no riding. Straps should rest gently on the shoulders — not digging, not slipping.
Measure your underbust snugly for band size
Cup depth is determined by breast fullness, not volume alone
Lace bralettes offer 1–2 cm of natural stretch — size down if between sizes
Sculptural Architecture
The Bodysuit
A bodysuit should feel like a second skin — present but not restrictive. The torso length is critical: when snapped, there should be no pulling at the crotch and no bunching at the waist. The silhouette should follow your natural curves without compression.
Torso length matters as much as cup size — measure shoulder to crotch
Stretch fabrics accommodate ±1 size — choose your natural size for best drape
Deep-plunge styles require a narrower frame; wide-set styles suit broader shoulders
The Foundation of Everything
The Brief & Thong
The right brief is invisible in the best possible way. It should sit at the natural waist or hip without rolling, cutting, or leaving marks. Fabric tension should be even across the entire garment — no single point of pressure.
Hip measurement is the primary guide for brief sizing
High-waist styles require 2–4 cm more rise — measure from hip to natural waist
Thong leg openings should lie flat against the skin with zero gap
Sizing Charts
All measurements are taken from the body, not the garment. Use a soft measuring tape and measure without clothing for the most accurate result.

How to Measure
Stand naturally. Breathe normally. Measure at the fullest point of each area. The tape should be snug but not compressing — you should be able to slip two fingers underneath.
Between Sizes
If your measurements fall between two sizes, consider the garment type. For structured pieces, size up. For stretch fabrics, size down. When in doubt, our atelier team is available to advise.

Fabric Care
A Maison Majorelle piece is an investment in yourself. Proper care preserves not just the garment, but the ritual of wearing it.
Silk
Silk is a living fibre — it breathes with you. Treat it as you would your finest jewellery.
Lace
Chantilly and Alençon lace are architectural — each thread is intentional. Protect the structure.
Velvet
Velvet pile is directional. Always brush in one direction with a soft bristle brush to restore lustre.
Microfibre & Modal
Modal is sustainably sourced beechwood fibre. It softens further with each wash — a garment that improves with time.
Styling Suggestions
Intimate apparel is not confined to the bedroom. It is the foundation of every look — and sometimes, the look itself.
The Private Evening
For an intimate evening at home, layer a silk bralette beneath an open silk robe in a complementary tone. The contrast between structure and flow creates a visual narrative of effortless luxury.

The Confident Underpinning
A bodysuit worn beneath tailored trousers or a blazer transforms the intimate into the architectural. The neckline of the bodysuit becomes a design element — choose deep-plunge for drama, scoop for understated elegance.

The Gift Presentation
When gifting Maison Majorelle, presentation is part of the experience. Pair a lace bralette and brief set with a handwritten note. The unboxing should feel like the opening of a love letter.
